Function description
As Head of Fleet, you hold operational end responsibility for Europcar’s fleet in Belgium. You are the crucial link between the company strategy and day-to-day fleet operations.
You manage the full vehicle lifecycle: from sourcing and infleet to defleet, maintenance, repairs, reconditioning, and the management of non-operational vehicles. In addition, you drive cost optimization, availability, KPIs, and compliance, in close collaboration with internal teams and external partners.
You report directly to the Managing Director and lead a team of approximately four direct reports.

Function description
As Head of Fleet, you hold operational end responsibility for Europcar’s fleet in Belgium. You are the crucial link between the company strategy and day-to-day fleet operations.
You manage the full vehicle lifecycle: from sourcing and infleet to defleet, maintenance, repairs, reconditioning, and the management of non-operational vehicles. In addition, you drive cost optimization, availability, KPIs, and compliance, in close collaboration with internal teams and external partners.
You report directly to the Managing Director and lead a team of approximately four direct reports.
Key Tasks & Responsibilities
- Co-develop the fleet strategy (composition and positioning) in line with company objectives and translate it into concrete KPIs, processes, and action plans
- Lead strategic negotiations on pricing and contracts, aimed at optimizing TCO, in alignment with Europcar Mobility Group
- Oversee planning and optimal utilization of the fleet throughout its entire lifecycle, including transport and distribution activities
- Develop and monitor processes related to maintenance and damage management, including supplier management and continuous process optimization
- Minimize downtime through analysis, proactive adjustments, and escalation in case of deviations, in collaboration with the Fleet Controller
- Hold end responsibility for processes and results related to fines, with a strong focus on lead time and accuracy
Profile
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, preferably in automotive, logistics, or business management
- At least 5 years of leadership experience within fleet management, automotive, or supply chain
- Demonstrable experience in strategic negotiations with OEMs and suppliers
- Solid knowledge of the full vehicle lifecycle (sourcing, infleet, defleet, maintenance, etc.)
- Excellent command of Excel and familiarity with fleet and reporting tools
- Strong analytical and strategic mindset with experience in KPI-driven process management
- Fluent in Dutch and English; French is an asset
- Strategic and result-oriented

- Strong communication and collaboration skills
