Cosco Belgium and Newman Shipping & Agency are associated companies and part of the Cosco Group. Cosco is agent for Cosco Container Lines and Newman focusses on NVOCC activities, tramping and forwarding. They make use of each other’s services and are located in the same building.
Both companies wanted to implement a solid quality and security management system, which could be the framework for the optimisation of the internal business processes. Therefore, they decided to cooperate with the consultants of De Putter & Co for the simultaneous application for Full Authorised Economic Operator. In accordance with the AEO requirements, procedures, work instructions, risk analyses and internal controll systems were drawn up and implemented. Thus, a qualitative management system for the security of the infrastructure, digital data and flux of goods has been realised.
