With headquarters in Waregem in West Flanders, Bekaert-Deslee is a leading specialist in the development and production of mattress textiles. The company employs approximately 3500 people in 24 locations in 18 countries, from the US through Europe to the Far East.
As a global player, the organization is involuntarily exposed to a large number of threats in the flow of goods. Therefore, the company decided to identify those critical aspects of the security of their supply chain in close cooperation with De Putter & Co. In a second phase, procedures and checks / tests / verifications were then implemented to manage the security risks to a maximum extent. The certification according to the strict ISO 28000 standard was the final part / piece of this exciting and instructive / enlightening / rewarding project.
